The hotel has a total of 291 deluxe, air conditioned guestrooms and suites. Rooms are spacious and attractively decorated with an elegant hint of the old Mayan village and colourful tropical details, spread out in five 2 and 3 storey buildings. Playa del Carmen is at the centre of the Riviera Maya area, and most activity in town is based around Quinta Avenida, or Fifth Avenue, a pedestrian walkway located just one block inland from the beach, and lined with boutique hotels, shops, bars and restaurants. A Mayan themed `ecological theme park`, Xcaret, is a popular tourist destination just south of the town. The Riviera has a semi tropical climate with average temperatures of 26 degrees centigrade.
